Maritime worlds have always inspired artists at the MEISSEN® porcelain manufactory. Whether a turtle sculpture, seahorse figure or fish artwork, whether lovingly hand-painted or white - the underwater variety knows no bounds.
The artist Elfriede Reichel-Drechsler also discovered the boundless variety for herself when she created the figure "Pisces" from the noble white of MEISSEN® porcelain in 1959. Like an underwater paradise, one fish is swarming around another. The filigree design of the sculpture succeeds with an almost weightless lightness. An impressive work of art that fits very well into the maritime world of MEISSEN®.
